David Yager is a writer, author, and oilfield service executive with over five decades of experience across multiple industry sectors, from field operations to chief executive roles. He serves as the oil and gas industry analyst and policy advisor for the Government of Alberta.

David leads projects, including a review of the Alberta Energy Regulator and the development of the Mature Asset Strategy to accelerate the cost-effective closure of non-commercial assets. His work addresses advanced data technologies and global commercial opportunities in extended production management of mature conventional assets.
